How to name a resume and typical title errors

Error: no specifics in the post
The words "manager", "employee", "specialist", if there is no explanation about specialization, are too faceless. With a large number of responses, the recruiter may not even open such a resume.

Another thing is if these words are not used on their own, but as part of a specific position, for example, "Online Advertising Sales Manager."

The more specific the wording, the better. For example, the name "Online Advertising Sales Manager" is better than "Advertising Manager", because the second option will not tell the recruiter anything about you, as it may involve many different specializations.

It is also not worth writing in the desired position “any” or “different”, “under discussion”, “I will consider different proposals”. If several positions are suitable for you at once, define at least a professional area: “bank employee” or “IT specialist”. Better yet, create a few resumes, each for a specific position that suits you. One user can have up to 20 resumes at a time.

Error: anything instead of post
To write the word “Resume” instead of the desired position is one of the surest ways to make sure that nobody opens your resume.

Remember that all resumes on hh.ru are moderated. The column “Desired position” is required to be filled in - not with any information, but with the one that corresponds to the name of this column. Otherwise, the resume will be blocked.

Do not write instead of a post, for example, salary (“From 30,000 rubles”, “Daily payments”, “Zp from 1000 cu”) or professional area (“Purchasing”, “Marketing”, “Logistics”), desired work schedule (“shift schedule”, “day in three”) and so on. Such a resume will be blocked by the moderator.

For such information, there are special summary columns. For example, “Salary Expectations” and “Schedule”. It is there that the employer will seek this information.

The professional area is affixed automatically depending on the position that you have indicated.

Error: except for the post - extra information
No need to try to insert a short extract from the entire contents of the resume into the title field. “Seller, work experience 5 years, salary 1,500. e., work schedule 2/2, social package, sociable, purposeful ”- an example of a name that is unlikely to be read to the end. It should contain only a position.

Error: several post options at once
We emphasize once again: specificity is important in a post. If you write several posts from different professional fields, then it's like writing “any” or “different”, “under discussion”. Therefore, options such as “Promoter / Office Manager / Courier” or “Waiter / Seller / Driver” are not allowed. Make a copy of your resume for each position you want. The same is worth doing if you have versatile experience in various fields. We talked about it here.

It is possible to indicate different names of the same position or similarly functional posts from the same professional field. For example, “Content Manager / Content Strategist / Site Editor” or “Secretary / Office Manager / Personal Assistant”. But if there is still a difference in the nuances between these job options, albeit close ones (for example, more complex and non-standard tasks are assigned to the personal assistant than the receptionist), then it is better to make a separate copy of the resume for each position.

Mistake: instead of job title - “student” or “graduate”
So do not call a resume, if only because there are no such posts in the staff list.

You can specify one of the starting positions that would be of interest to you: “trainee”, “assistant”, or at least just “novice specialist”. And it’s better to clarify: for example, “an assistant in the advertising department”, “an intern in the sales department”, “a novice specialist in accounting”).

What does the talent market have to do with selling ice cream?

Sometimes your ice cream van sells very few horns. Why? First you need to figure out who eats ice cream most often (have you ever met my children?), And also what ice cream they like. It is necessary to deliver this ice cream to the right place and time, and all this at an affordable price. In addition, you need to attract attention (for example, a three-meter plastic horn and a catchy melody). It is important to make sure that your ice cream is not only beautiful, but also delicious, otherwise you will find that people have begun to look for a replacement for your vanilla cone with chocolate chips. Finally, the main thing is to understand the macro factors that influence the supply and demand in the market. Certain place and time of sale may be more successful than others. In the case of ice cream, everything is relatively simple: the best time is a warm sunny day. HR marketing has a lot to do with selling ice cream. To create and implement a successful strategy, you need to unde

Is the "flyer" so terrible as he is painted?

It seems that everyone understands that the important thing is not the number of jobs a candidate has and the duration of work in one place, but the reasons for the transitions. You can figure out the reasons only by talking to the person in person. And all the same, analyzing job vacancies or looking for the ideal candidate in the best resume database, many recruiters reach out to immediately reject those who often changed jobs. We tell why this is wrong. Those who change jobs too often are called “flyers” by recruiters and try to avoid them. It is believed that inviting them to work is risky - they are either non-caring and conflicting, or unreliable and bad workers. It is clear, after all - good employees change jobs infrequently. Moreover, there is no consensus on the normal, “correct” duration of work in one place. Someone thinks that it’s two or three years, someone - that it’s three to five years. Although far from any position it is so important that a person remains in th

Route built: 5 steps to a new profession

Here are a few recommendations for those who dream of a career change. 1) Understand the reason. Ask yourself a question: are you tired of this profession as a whole or just work in a particular company? If the matter is in your current place, it is worth exploring the job opportunities. Perhaps you will feel happier if new tasks are wider than the current functionality or, conversely, you will have the opportunity to concentrate on your favorite subject area without spraying on related tasks. Maybe you do not have enough business trips or, conversely, you want a more measured schedule. Or maybe you need to think about changing the business role or type of career in the current profession. Finally, it often happens that behind the desire to change a profession is an attempt to escape from a psychological crisis. 2) Analyze the current work. Pay attention to tasks that give you energy, inspire, and what, on the contrary, causes a feeling of powerlessness or irritation. These are cl
